Sport Playbook - Basketball ยท Effective October 6, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the Sport Playbook - Basketball app for iPad (the "App", which appears on your Home Screen as "Playbook") handles information. The App is published by RattlerPlay LLC ("RattlerPlay", "we", "us", or "our").
None. The App does not collect personal information, and it does not send your information to RattlerPlay or to anyone else. It contains no advertising, no analytics or tracking tools, no crash-reporting services, and no third-party software development kits (SDKs). You do not need to create an account or give us your name, email address, or any other details to use it.
To use the App, you create coaching content. This can include:
This information is stored on your iPad and, if iCloud is turned on, in your private iCloud account (see Section 3). RattlerPlay cannot see, access, or retrieve any of it.
If you coach young athletes, your rosters may include the names of minors. That information stays in your control on your own iPads and iCloud account, and it is never sent to us.
If you are signed in to iCloud and iCloud is enabled for the App, the App uses Apple's CloudKit service to keep your content in sync across your iPads. Your data is stored in the private database of your own iCloud account. Only you can access it; RattlerPlay cannot. If iCloud is unavailable or turned off, the App keeps your data on your iPad only.
To keep your iPads in sync, Apple may silently notify the App in the background when your iCloud data changes. The App uses these notifications only to sync and does not display notifications to you.
Apple handles iCloud storage and syncing under its own terms. See Apple's Privacy Policy for details.
The App saves a few preferences on your iPad so it behaves the way you left it, such as your chosen court theme, list or grid layout, sort order, orientation lock, play numbering, and whether you have already seen onboarding, the What's New screen, or a rating prompt. These settings stay on your iPad and are never sent to us.
Some features work with files, and they only run when you choose to use them:
Anything you share or send this way goes only where you direct it. Once it leaves the App, the app or service you sent it to handles it under its own privacy terms.
The App may occasionally show Apple's standard prompt asking you to rate it. That prompt is run entirely by Apple, and we do not learn whether you saw it or how you responded. We can only see ratings and reviews that are published on the App Store.
If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPad's settings (Settings โ Privacy & Security โ Analytics & Improvements), Apple may give us crash reports and aggregate usage statistics, such as how many devices installed the App. Apple provides this information in a form that does not identify you, and we use it only to fix bugs and improve the App. You can turn this sharing off in your iPad's settings at any time.
Because we do not collect personal information, we do not use it for advertising, profiling, or any other purpose, and we do not sell, rent, trade, or share it with anyone. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Your data stays under the protection of your iPad and your Apple ID, including your device passcode and Apple's encryption for iCloud data in transit and at rest. We recommend keeping your passcode and Apple ID secure. Files you export are not password-protected, so store and share them with care.
Your data stays until you delete it. You can delete it at any time:
Because we hold none of your data, there is nothing for us to delete on our side, and we cannot recover data you delete.
The App is designed for coaches and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. As described in Section 2, player information a coach enters stays on that coach's own iPads and iCloud account.
Depending on where you live, laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation may give you rights to access, correct, or delete personal information a company holds about you. We do not hold personal information about you, and you can view, change, or delete everything the App stores directly on your own iPads, as described in Section 10. If you have a question about your rights, contact us using the details below.
If we change this policy, for example because we add a feature that handles information differently, we will update this page and the effective date at the top. If a change is significant, we will also describe it in the App's release notes.
