Frequently Asked Questions

How do I auto-draw a route?

Select the Routes tool, tap a receiver token, and choose a route from the library — Fly, Slant, Post, Corner, Out, In/Dig, Curl, Drag, or Wheel. The route draws automatically from that player's position.

How do I animate a play?

Draw movement with the Move tool, then use the animation controls to run it in Continuous mode (the whole play runs at once) or Step mode (advance one movement at a time).

How do I switch between half-field and full-field view?

Open any play and use the field toggle to switch between the half-field view (10 five-yard stripes and one end zone) and the full-field view (20 stripes and both end zones).

How do I build a depth chart?

Go to Depth Charts, choose Offense, Defense, or Special Teams, and assign roster players to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd string at each position.

How do I tag a play by situation?

Open a play's details and set its down, a down-and-distance category (Short, Medium, Long, or Goal Line), and a field zone (Red Zone, Backed Up, or 2-Minute). You can then filter your whole library by any of these on game day.

How do I add a drill to a practice plan?

Open Drill Library to browse the 38 built-in drills across 9 categories, or add your own. From a practice plan, tap Add Item to pull in any play or drill with a duration — the plan shows a running total time.

How do I build a Game Script?

Go to Game Scripts and add plays in the order you plan to call them — useful for scripting your first 15 or a two-minute drill ahead of time.

I found a bug — how do I report it?

Please email hello@rattlerplay.com with a description of the issue, what you were doing when it occurred, and your device model and iOS version. Screenshots or screen recordings are very helpful.
